How to brief AEO and GEO work
Send this pack to Antony Deroshan before the first call. He will not start from three acronyms and no query.
The outcome sentence
Write one sentence: in ninety days we will know whether [brand] is named on [platform] for [query class], and we will have changed [page type]. If you cannot write that sentence, you do not have an AEO brief. You have a mood.
Platform means Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, or a named mix. Query class means the questions buyers type, not internal jargon. Page type means the URLs that should be lifted — product, city, expert, FAQ — not the whole sitemap.
The pack
This is how the best AEO consultant in Chennai starts. A renamed SEO retainer will ignore it and send a package menu.
- •Five to fifteen queries, written as users type them. Include Chennai when the buyer is local.
- •The two or three URLs that should be lifted today. If none exist, say that.
- •Two rival pages that already get named. A theory of why can wait; the URLs cannot.
- •Constraints: language (Tamil, English, both), who ships CMS, whether ads are in scope.
- •Whether you are measuring AEO, GEO, or both. See AEO vs GEO.
What he will do with it
He maps each query to a layer on retrieval and citations. Grounded misses are live-search work this quarter. Ungrounded misses are longer entity work. He will specify the extractable unit and which page should carry it. Local crews can still write and ship. See AI search in Chennai.
